SCAM ALERT! Amazon.com Phishing Email

In case whoever reads this isn't aware of it, there's a phishing email purporting to originate from Amazon.com making the rounds. I received a copy myself last night. I recognized it immediately because I have my own domain and use a different email address for everything I sign up for; it lets me keep track of who sells my information to spammers. When I sign up for a given service, the email address with which I subscribe always takes the form of service_I_subscribe@domain.com. The phishing email I got wasn't addressed to "amazon@mydomain.com," but to the address I used to sign up for a mailing list I'm on. As soon as I saw that, I knew it was an attempt to scam me.

If you have received the following email, then, DON'T give your Amazon user ID and password. If you have already done so, make sure that you contact your bank and credit card issuer to stop your information from being stolen, and get your Amazon user ID changed ASAP!
