LL Giving Talk About Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) at Holy Cross
Yeah, I'm a little proud.
Female genital mutilation, also known as female genital cutting, FGC and FGM, is still practiced in some parts of the world. While a cultural practice, in some quarters it has inappropriately been attributed as a specifically Islamic practice. LL has been a leader and coordinator in changing this situation for years now. Among other activities, she is the director of the The Female Genital Cutting Education and Networking Project.
